Speaker: Eric J. Sanders, Ph.D.
A scholar-practitioner – someone who bridges between academia and the “real world.” He currently teaches and chairs undergraduate business studies at Cardinal Stritch University, and has taught leadership, organization development, management and economics at several universities. His consulting clients over the past twelve years have included firms in distribution, financial services, manufacturing, telecommunications, travel, and non-profits. Projects have included technology implementations, leadership development and organizational culture change, all with a focus on helping clients achieve measurable outcomes. Eric holds a PhD in Organization Development, an MA in Economics and an MBA in International Business. He is a Past President of the Organization Development Network of Chicago, and has volunteered with ASTD (now ATD) and HRMAC in Chicago. He has published articles and book chapters on organization development and change, and presented on those topics across the US and in France.
Learning and Skill Objectives:
- Discuss new ways of thinking about the human side of technology implementations.
- Show how to supplement traditional communications with additional change management interventions.
- Leverage business social media, which is new to most change management consultants.
The session will appeal to practitioners of all skill levels. I will provide three different cases/examples, each progressing to a higher level of skill. Anyone practicing organizational change management dealing with the implementation of new systems, especially those installing new technology.
