Using an Integral Approach to Create a Change-Ready Organization
The Integral Quadrant diagram is a simple and efficient tool that can be used by Change Practitioners and Project Managers to show how the two disciplines blend and why both are necessary for success. The diagram can be used as diagnostic tool for assessing root causes of the need for change as well as a prescriptive tool to ensure the comprehensive development of Change Management and Project Plans. It can also be leveraged after a project to determine where additional mitigations may be required to sustain success.
The presenter used this for projects ranging from major strategic initiatives to minor processes and procedure updates. The tool is also methodology-agnostic and can augment any change methodology (ACMP Standard, Prosci, Kotter etc.)
About the Speakers:
Maryanne Colter
Maryanne Colter has spent 30+ years in Consulting as a Change Manager, Project Manager, Leadership Coach, and Team-Effectiveness Facilitator for clients going through major technology, process, or cultural changes. She had worked for large firms (Deloitte, Accenture), major software companies (SAP), and is currently working as an Independent Consultant. She has worked with national and global clients in a wide variety of industries and ranging in size from mid-market to Fortune 100. She has also worked directly for large companies where she incorporated Change Management practices and tools into the PMO.
Maryanne began her career as a technical consultant and Project Manager. After working on a major IT project in the late 1990’s that failed due to lack of end user engagement, she gravitated towards what was then the newly emerging practice of Change Management. She has continued to integrate the two practices in all subsequent projects and holds both CCMP and PMP credentials.
She is an honors graduate with an M.B.A. in Business Ethics from Loyola University Chicago, where she was also a recipient of the President’s Medallion, awarded annually to one graduate from each college who best demonstrated Leadership, Scholarship, and Service.
